Pacific and Yukon Centre - Who we are
At the NFB Pacific and Yukon Centre, we want to be seen by independent film and video makers not as an outside agency, but as a part of their community. We're committed to working alongside the local film and video community, providing the resources and supportive environment that only the NFB can offer.
Based in Vancouver, the Centre kick-starts careers and gives seasoned veterans a place to experiment, while showcasing the remarkable diversity of Canada's Pacific Rim.
Our documentary crews shoot locally and around the world, then bring their footage home to Vancouver, where films are finished and packaged. Our animators have helped build the reputation of Canada's West Coast as a world-class animation destination. And the Pacific and Yukon Centre has led the way at the NFB in producing acclaimed film, video and Web-based productions for youth.
