The NFB on a screen near you
The winter season will provide many thrilling opportunities to learn about current social issues, the arts, the environment and much more. The free film evenings will take place on Sundays in Pointe-de-l'Église, Nova Scotia; Mondays in Moncton; Tuesdays in Fredericton and Caraquet; Wednesdays in Kedgwick and Thursdays in Edmundston. All screenings begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free! This winter, the Rendez-vous de l'ONF en Acadie invites you to set out on a journey of discovery, first and foremost of ourselves and the desires that motivate us, the past that has left its indelible mark, and the many facets of our humanity. But discovery of others as well: an immigrant working as a brush clearer in Abitibi, a doctor with a foreign degree who is not allowed to practice, a man we encounter by chance in a Kingston ghetto. The Rendez-Vous is also a journey across eras and arts, a meeting between yesterday's composers, a modern-day conductor and a brilliant, extravagant and imaginative choreographer. Last but not least, embark on a voyage to discover the world, ponder nature and understand the threats to our planet. This winter, experience a new adventure every week!
