Gervais Suzanne
Born in Montreal, Suzanne Gervais studied at the École des beaux-arts. She was a full-time painter up to 1968, doing occasional illustration work for various publications. She joined the Animation Studio of the NFB French Program in 1969 where she worked on different productions as assistant animator and director. She directed her first film Cycle, in 1971. Other films followed: Climates (1975), La Plage (1978), Still Point (1983), The Studio (1988), The Irises with Jacques Giraldeau (1991) and Expectations (1993). her latest film for the NFB is Women and Men Unglued (2003).
