Driessen Paul
Born in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 1940, Paul Driessen is a leading figure in the international animation scene. He got his start on George Dunning's landmark Yellow Submarine in 1968 and went on to a prolific career as a director of animated shorts, with such titles as Air! (1972), Cat's Cradle (1974), David (1977), On Land, at Sea and in the Air (1980), The End of the World in Four Seasons (1995), 3 Misses (1998), The Boy Who Saw the Iceberg (2000) and 2D or Not 2D (2003). His films have been generously awarded with prizes and honours from festivals all over the world His films are characterized by his unique use of line and his exploration of innovative narrative structures.
