Adkin David
David Adkin was born February 20, 1960 in the East (London, Ontario) but raised in the West (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
In 1981 he moved to Toronto to complete a BFA in Creative Writing and a MFA in Film studies, both at York University. His first short film, The Salesman (1986), aired on CBC television and on First Choice/ Superchannel.
In 1986 and 1987 he coordinated two film and video festivals for the colleges and universities of Ontario. Since 1987 he has worked as a freelance writer, researcher, editor and director, completing several projects for the Ontario Centre of the National Film Board of Canada. These include two major video anthologies designed to promote media literacy in Canadian schools, and a series of projects involving gay and lesbian issues.
Mr. Adkin currently resides in Toronto.
