Kennard Ann
Born in Toronto in 1956, Ann Kennard has produced and directed documentaries on Canadian public television for the past decade. Her television credits include the CBC's The Fifth Estate, LIFE: the program and Adrienne Clarkson Presents.
Kennard's films profile a range of humourous subjects, from Martin Short to the Society for Creative Anachronism, National Anthem competitions and Scottish dancing in Canada.
She directed the NFB film The Powder Room in 1996, a candid look at what women say behind the doors of washrooms, from Newfoundland dance halls to New York nightclubs.
