In his 28 years with the NFB, Senior Producer Gerry Flahive has worked on some of its most successful documentaries, including Genie Award winners Just Watch Me by Catherine Annau and Jennifer Baichwal's Manufactured Landscapes.

Current and recent projects include Katerina Cizek's groundbreaking Filmmaker-in-Residence project at Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital; Steven Silver's animated history of the Great Depression, The Dark Years; Paul Cowan's Paris 1919, inspired by Margaret MacMillan's best-seller; and five films for the 2008 Governor-General's Performing Arts Awards.

Projects in development include I Was a Child of Holocaust Survivors and A Short History of Progress. A contributor to the Globe and Mail, Gerry has also been published in Time, the New York Times and Playback.
