FILMMAKER-IN-RESIDENCE WORKSHOP as part of National Media Literacy Week
Media Literacy in the Digital Age emphasizes the skills needed by youth to
navigate their digital media world. The NFB Mediatheque offers programs for
educators and students that address these, through discussion and hands-on
production.
This year, two programs suitable for educators, community leaders and enquiring
minds focus on using media for social change. Additionally, media literacy
themed films on our Digital Viewing Stations are available for FREE during National Media Literacy week.
Filmmaker-in-Residence Workshop
Led by Katerina Cizek, the NFB’s Filmmaker-in-Residence, this workshop brings the public together with educators and health-care specialists to examine how digital storytelling can work as a tool for social action.
